Gibran Hamdan was a member of the San Francisco 49ers during the beginning of the 2006 season. He was released by the Seattle Seahawks following the 3rd preseason and promptly joined the team for the remaining game of the preseason.

He was a member of the practice squad for 5 games prior to an injury occurring to Matt Hasselbeck of the Seahawks. The Seahawks promptly signed Gibran to their active roster for the remainder of the '06 season.
